Meridian Community College earned certification from an international council, demonstrating the College's commitment to workforce training.
Nine adult detention officers from Lauderdale and Neshoba counties received their certificates after completing 96 hours in the Adult Detention Officer Training Program at Meridian Community College.
Six graduates received their certificates from the Meridian Public Safety Academy during a completion ceremony held at Meridian Community College-Riley Workforce Development Center.
For six months, students in the Phlebotomy Essentials Program have studied, drawn and collected blood samples, and performed at least 100 sticks. Now they're ready to prepare for their national certification.
