At MCC's Utility Lineman Program, students learn to build, repair, and maintain electrical power and distribution systems during a 16-week course of study.
Applebee credits MCC for helping her develop leadership skills. "It has taught me to put myself out there to try new things," she said. She added MCC faculty members have been open and willing to help whenever needed.
After two years, two officer teams, and many collaborators, Meridian Community College's Phi Theta Kappa Courtyard of Scholars is now a reality.
