Six MCC students are finding their wings and starting their careers in the surgical technology arena. To celebrate, the Class of 2023 will have a pinning ceremony on Thursday, July 27.
Kimbrough is one of five recipients of the Mississippi Association of Adult and Community Education (MAACE) Organization's Students of the Year Award.
Associate Degree Nursing instructor Christi Jones was working in labor and delivery in 1988 and helped deliver MCC nursing graduate, Meagan Edwards. At the ADN pinning ceremony, Jones was able to pin Edwards.
Participants joined monthly online sessions focused on healthy relationships, financial literacy, and balancing work, life, school, and others. The MCCers received $250 and a new HP laptop computer for their successful efforts.
MCC spotlighted soon-to-be graduates at pinning ceremonies for the Respiratory Therapy, Practical Nursing, Physical Therapist Assistant, Associate Degree Nursing, and Radiologic Technology programs.
