In a world where career choices range far and wide, one Meridian Community College student is deliberately choosing to pursue a profession that will keep her on her feet - respiratory therapy.
"If you know someone who needs to get their high school equivalency diploma, learn to read, or improve their basic skills, let us know. We'll be glad to help," said Jennifer Whitlock, director of adult education.
A mural celebrating music legend Dolly Parton's song Wildflowers has taken root, thanks to the efforts of MCC Graphic Design Instructor Daniel Ethridge and members of the Meridian Museum of Art Collective.
"The students put in tremendous effort," said Becky Higginbotham, HIT program coordinator and instructor. Preparing for the exam "requires self-discipline and commitment to ongoing study even after graduation."
For 35 years, ADN students at MCC have benefited from Anderson Regional Health System scholarships. Recipients are full-time students who post grade B or better in nursing courses and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
