Bridge Program

Bridging the Gap LogoMCC Summer Bridge Program
The Summer Bridge program is a two-week academic intensive English program offered through generous patrons and the Meridian Community College Foundation. Our Bridge staff, consisting of English instructors, recruiters, and advisors, is dedicated to student success. Our program is designed to aid students who have difficulty in grammar or writing transition more easily into the collegiate environment.

Academic Objective
Our Summer Bridge program is an accelerated review of grammar and writing skills at the intermediate level in order to assess and sharpen skills necessary for English Composition I at Meridian Community College. Upon completion of the Bridge Program, students who PASS will be eligible to move into Composition I at MCC without having to take Intermediate English. The opportunity to bypass Intermediate English is only available for students planning to attend MCC or those who are already enrolled.
