The Health Care Assistant program prepares you as a professional member of the health care team to provide care and assistance. This state approved, one semester program combines classroom, lab, and clinical training experiences.

Instruction areas include basic health care assisting, body structure and function, special care procedures, and homemaker/home health aide.

Upon program completion, you are eligible to apply to write the “Mississippi Nurse Assistant Certification” examination. Employment opportunities include not only a career as a Health Care Assistant but also Long-Term Care Aide, Homemaker, and Home Health Aide.
