Assistant Softball Coach: |
| When Cheri hall left UPS after 10 1/2" years, she had one goal in
mind, to become a coach. It has taken seven and a half years, but Hall has realized that
goal. She now holds the title of assistant softball coach at MCC. "I came to MCC three and a half years ago because it seemed like a good opportunity to get into coaching," said Hall. "The sports program was really growing." Hall started her MCC career in the math and science department and then went full-time teaching physical education classes. In the beginning of January, she got the opportunity she has been waiting for all her life. "I have always pictured myself as a coach," said Hall. "It has been a goal of mine for a long time. Ever since I was little, I knew." Hall has a good background in sports and knows what it is like to compete. She played in the Amateur Softball Association for 20 years and played volleyball, badminton, and ran track in school. She knows what she wants for her new team as well. "I want a national title in fast pitch for MCC," said Hall, "because I don't like losing. We will go 100 percent or we won't go." Hall has more goals on her list she would like to check off one day. "I would like to go full-time as a head coach. It doesn't matter in what. I can take on any sport. Volleyball, track, softball, it doesn't matter, just give me a sport." |
