A Financial Helping Hand
First-time Meridian Community College students will get a financial helping hand this first summer term, said Soraya Welden, MCC dean of student services.
Students who have never attended MCC before can have tuition paid up to a four-credit hour course for the first, five-week summer term. This would apply for any student who has just graduated from high school, received his/her GED or just taking a college course at MCC for the first time, Welden said.
If funds are still available, awards will be made based on need and early applications, she added.
Anyone interested can pick up an application in the College’s Student Services or Financial Aid. The deadline to apply is June 1.
