Thank you for your interest in the MCC Diamond Girls organization. This program is a voluntary organization which supports MCC Baseball in various capacities.

 Policies & Procedures

General Rules:
1. To be eligible, you must have a 2.0 GPA and be enrolled full-time at Meridian Community College.
2. You will be assessed a fee of $50 to assist with the cost of uniforms.
3. You will be required to work all scheduled home games.

Game Day Rules:
1. All girls working the game will be required to be at the field 2 1/2 hours prior to the start of the game, unless otherwise noted.
2. If you are not able to attend your assigned game, you are to notify the sponsor at least 24 hours in advance and find a replacement. You will only be allowed to utilize a replacement three times. Failure to notify your sponsor will result in demerits due to having an unexcused absence.
3. You must be in proper attire and in a presentable manner.
4. You are not allowed to leave the game early. You are not to leave until the sponsor dismisses you.
5. You are not to socialize with players before, during, or after the games. While socialization with players outside of games is permitted, inappropriate fraternization can result in dismissal from the team.

Game Day Activities:

Gate:
Girls will be positioned at the entrance of the field to take tickets, sell programs, and greet fans.

Field:
The Diamond Girls are responsible for picking up foul balls, gathering bats and helmets for players and maintaining a tidy area outside of the dugout. When needed, girls we provide water or other necessary items to the umpires. Even though you will be in direct contact with the players, there will be no talking to the players.

Dugout Club/Merchandise:
At each home game, there will be merchandise to be sold. Diamond Girls are responsible for the set-up, selling, and take-down of the merchandise area; this includes the Dugout Club items too.

Additional Events:

Each year additional activities may be planned throughout the spring and fall semesters to garner support for the team. As a MCC Diamond Girl, you will be responsible for assisting with these events. You will be notified early, so plans can be made accordingly. Some of them may include an annual fundraiser, Alumni game and banquet, Parents’ Weekend, and etc.

The sponsor and/or coaches reserve the right to remove any girl from the team who does not comply with all the policies and regulations.
