Dental Hygiene State Conference
With more than 180 people in attendance, the Mississippi Dental Hygiene Association meeting, under the guidance of acting president Delia Harwell, hosted its largest ever session in its 82 years. Speakers included the president of the American Dental Hygiene Association, representatives from two dental companies, Colgate and Dentsply, and Dr. George Taybos, diplomat of the American Board of Oral Medicine with the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Fourteen exhibitors were also at the session.
Harwell noted three other state dental hygiene programs were in attendance: Pearl River Community College, Delta Community College and the University of Mississippi Dental Hygiene Program. Also assisting were MCC first and second year Dental Hygiene Program students as well as instructor Karen McPherson. |
