Stretch your education dollar

Looking for ways to stretch your education dollar? Look to Meridian Community College.

For the spring semester 2010, MCC will offer to part-time students (those enrolled in less than 12 semester credit hours) who sign up for a single three or four-hour class, to select a second class from a special list tuition free.

Classes available for the special “Two-for-One Scholarship” include these Meridian Naval Air Station classes: Principles of Accounting I and II, Art Appreciation, Human Growth and Development, English Composition II, American Literature I, World Civilization I and II, College Algebra, General Psychology and Public Speaking. NAS class hours are 5-7:45 p.m.

The evening classes available include Principles of Accounting II, Medical Vocabulary, Principles of Biology II with Lab, Legal Environment of Business, Child Development II, Computer Concepts, Computer Applications I, Applied Math for Industrial Technology, Economics II, Programmable Logic Control, Human Growth and Development, Beginning English, Intermediate English, English Composition I and II, World Literature I, Introduction to Geography, World Civilization II, Basic Sign Language, Intermediate Sign Language, Fundamentals of Mathematics, Beginning Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Business Calculus, Real Number System, Spanish II, Real Estate I and II, Music Appreciation, New Testament Survey, World Religions I, Physical Science II with Lab, American Federal Government, General Psychology, Introduction to Social Science, Introduction to Sociology, Public Speaking, Theater Appreciation.
