Founded in 1937 and fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Meridian Community College (MCC) is located in Lauderdale County, Mississippi, just west of the Mississippi-Alabama state line near the intersections of Interstates 20 and 59. MCC meets its mission of improving the quality of life in its region through serving some 12,000 students annually in university transfer, career & technical, adult basic education, customized workforce training, fine arts, and continuing education programs. MCC has enjoyed a long-established tradition of excellence, witnessed by the college being ranked in the Top 10 among the nation’s community colleges in three different independent polls over the last three years as well as being nominated for the prestigious Aspen Institute Prize.

MCC is seeking a dynamic, visionary leader as its next president. As outlined in Mississippi Code and college policy, the president reports directly to MCC’s five-member board of trustees and is responsible for the total day-to-day operation of the institution, including the administration of an annual budget exceeding $50 million supporting credit and non-credit instruction, student services, intercollegiate athletics and various other curricular elements. The president is the chief representative of the institution in national, state and local affairs.
