MCC co-ed takes the homecoming queen crown

Meridian Community College sophomore Kennedy Rodriguez was crowned homecoming queen during a ceremony held in the Graham Gymnasium Monday evening.

Rodriguez, a University Transfer student majoring in sports management, is from Hickory and is the daughter of Sonia and Zeno Rodriguez. She is a member of the Lady Eagles Tennis Team, the Diamond Darlings and Phi Theta Kappa, the international academic honor society for community and junior colleges.

She was voted as queen by the student body.

Other members of the court also included sophomores Jada Javonda Henderson of Brookhaven; Alexandre’ail Tyronica Jackson of Osyka; Diamond McDonald of Gautier; Tatyana Rush of Meridian; Asia Nicole Wheaton of Memphis. Freshmen maids were Anna Grace Banks of Collinsville; Miracle Osborne of Silas, Ala.; Kara Sheffield of Butler, Ala.; and Autumn Welborn of Meridian.

Assisting with the ceremonies were Zaidee Rhyan Gressett, the six-year-old daughter of Jordan and Bo Gressett; and King Falconer, the five-year-old daughter of Ciera Falconer and the late Justin Clark.
