Job fair, career expo set for Thursday at MCC Dulaney Center

Meridian Community College is joining with the Radio People for the 17th Annual Career Expo Job Fair and Nursing and Health Education Expo on Thursday, April 4, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Tommy E. Dulaney Center.

Campus and community residents are invited to attend.

Shannon Coleman, WIOA case manager for MCC community and business development, said the expo offers opportunities for students and the public. “There will be a large number of companies under one roof representing various career fields,” she said.

Coleman suggested participants dress for success and bring their resumes. “They should also polish their interviewing skills because some companies will hire on the spot,” she added. Last year more than 40 vendors and some 200 job seekers got the opportunity to network.

For more information, participants can call 601.693.2661 or 601.553.9531.
