Located in North Meridian, Briarwood Country Club continues to be one of the home courses for MCC Golf.

Briarwood has hosted numerous of Mississippi Golf Association events, including the State Father/Son, State Mid Amateur, and State Amateur Championships.

The 6,742 yard par 72 course opened in 1967 and continues to be one of the areas premier courses. Complete with gently rolling hills and an imposing tree line, Briarwood offers a wide variety of shots off the tee.

Water comes into play on eight holes with a scenic three hole finish along Briarwood Lake which starts on the beautiful downhill 182 yard par 3, 16^th.

The signature hole includes the 434 yard doglegged right par 4, 14^th hole. This hole is ranked as one of “Mississippi’s Toughest 18,” and provides water and out of bounds to challenge players.

Traditionally Briarwood plays host to MCC’s Jim Redgate Invitational in late September.

Briarwood "Eagle Fact"
MCC Head Golf Coach, Sean Covich, is the son of former Briarwood PGA Professional, Jerry Covich III. The elder Covich was head golf pro from 1985 until 2000.
