Meridian Community College finished third in the NJCAA Division II National Championship.

The Team was tied for second and lost in a playoff to Kirkwood Community College.

Justin Eaves was named Second Team All American and was also named to the All Tournament Team.
Dustin Petit was named to the All Tournament Team.

The MCC Eagle Golf Team is headed to the NJCAA National Championship to be held at Scottsboro, AL May 23-26, 2006.  The championship will be held at Goosepond Colony.



MCC won the MACJC and Region 23 Championships held at Hillendale Country Club at Corinth, MS.  The team shot 276-284-560 to win by 15 shots.

Dustin Petit was the tournament medalist and was named the Hubert Tucker MACJC player of the year.

Meridian Community College led the Cleveland Invitational by two strokes after the first round.  MCC had a two shot lead over Darton Community College who are the defending National Champions.  Darton went on to win the Championship after round two.
 

Shane Parker was named to the All Tournament Team.  He finished 3rd in the Championship.  Congratulating Shane is his father Jim who follows the team almost everywhere.

Toys for Tots 2005 MCC Toys for Tots campaign was bigger and better than ever.  Well over 200 toys were donated to the U.S. Marine Corp. Many needy children had a nice Christmas thanks to the hard work of the Golf team.
