Hilary Allen

Hilary Allen is the Athletic Director and Women’s Basketball Coach at Meridian Community College. Allen is in his twelfth year at MCC. As the women’s basketball coach, Allen’s teams have won 227 games in eleven seasons and captured five Miss/Lou Conference Championships. In 2011, Coach Allen captured his 400th overall career victory. In 2008, he led the MCC Lady Eagles to the South Division crown and a runner-up finish in the MACJC State Tournament.  In 2007 and 2011, the Lady Eagles finished runner-ups in the Region 23 Tournament.  In 2002, Allen led the Lady Eagles to a school record 29 victories.  The 2011 team won 27 games.

Coach Allen, who has been in athletic administration for over twenty years, takes pride in the overall athletic department accomplishments. He also teaches in the math department, and some semesters, he teaches German classes. The advancement of a student’s education is his number one goal. Allen feels his greatest achievement is seeing his players graduate and continue to play at four-year universities.


Hilary is married to Celia, who is also the associate head coach. He counts her as the backbone of the success of the women’s basketball program.
